Director of Applications Development (AD)


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow V-Soft’s applications development efforts locally and nationwide for existing and new clients.

• Manage and grow V-Soft’s offshore and onshore development teams.

• Oversee multi-phase, multi-dimensional, multi-resource, multi-skill projects from inception to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

• Architect, Design, Deploy and/or support in house and client specific software-related products and/or services.

• Drive awareness of our services to the Industry leading software makers (such as Microsoft, Business Objects) by partnering and collaborating with sales executives, account

managers, engagement managers and other account team members.

• Work with V-Soft management to develop processes and bring efficiencies to existing processes to increase revenues from the AD projects.

• Manage V-Soft AD proposal process including scheduling, scope of work(s) [SOW], budgets, flow charts, and delivery timeframes,

• Attend marketing calls as requested by various V-Soft sales and management

• Responsible for developing customer outreach strategy, including development of marketing material such as C-Level presentations, technical sales presentations.

• Other responsibilities identified and assigned going forward.



Project Management

• Ensure all work streams are executed and deliverables produced in accordance with Statement of Work ("own the Project").

• Involve in various

• Identify key project dependencies and work to ensure issues do not arise

• Contribute to and approve the Solution design in project work

• Provide quality assurance of all client deliverables

• Lead weekly internal and external (with the client) project status meetings

• Conduct internal project kick-off and norm-setting session and ensure project sunset review occurs in a timely manner

• Track major issues and participate in major project decisions

• Develop plan for subsequent phases of work as part of current phase execution

• Keep Client Partner apprised of progress and risks.

• Own & resolve key issues upon escalation.

• Identify & proactively resolve issues which encumber delivery.



People Management

• Lead team (s) to deliver value-add to customers

• Communicating effectively with project teams and customers

• Provide timely feedback to project staff throughout the project

• Facilitate completion of all project performance evaluations

• Maintain positive attitude and morale among all project staff

• Approve/disapprove as appropriate vacation requests for all project team members that fall within project calendar



Risk Management

• Ensure project stays within defined scope; alert Client Partner to potential scope creep , anticipate risks

• Develop risk mitigation approaches and contingency plans for high-risk activities Financial Management

• Develop Scope of work (SOW), timeline estimates, resource requirements and detailed project plans, budgets, flowcharts.

• Track project billings and expenses; work with Finance to ensure invoices are accurate and issued in a timely manner.

• Monitor project profitability (Gross Margin) and complete project activities within 10% of target.

• Alert Client Partner to gross margin or staffing variances greater than 10% of target.

• Monitor and adjust estimates to integrate new constraints Client Relationship Management

• Build trust-based relationship with client project manager.

• Ensuring delivery of contractual commitments

• Assist with preparation of Client Steering Committee meetings including document development.

• Solicit feedback from client on performance of individual team members.

• Assist in developing proposals and partnering with team leads onshore and offshore to staff projects.

• Conduct customer presentations on our services (both technical & non-technical presentations).
