Software Development Project Manager
Minimum Qualifications
• 6-7 years experience project managing Software Development or IT projects.
• Bachelors Degree in Management, Technology or other relevant area.
• PMP certified; Knowledge of Prince2 a plus
• Advanced level of MS Project; MS Project Server experience a plus
• Must be able to work in a newly defined group with growing and emerging processes.
• Must be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
• Clearly defines project scope and key success factors.
• Creates and executes project work plans and revises via change control processes to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Identifies resources needed and works with functional managers (BA, Dev, QA) to secure project resources.
• Identifies and escalates key project issues to management in a timeline fashion to ensure project meets expectations.
• Works with internal and external clients to identify, define, control and communicate project work packages.
• Works with BAs to communicate risks and impacts to internal and external clients
• Work with BA Manager to help determine how new projects will impact BA and Operational resource groups
• Produces regular reports on project performance and achievement to internal clients, external clients, team members and management.
• Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
• Effectively applies Client methodology and enforces project standards.
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Accountable for project budgeting and scheduling.
• Acts as the project team representative in client meetings
