The beginning of April was good times with our Networking and Free PDU Event, but I had quite a time throughout the rest of the month with computer problems slowing me down. I'm looking forward to my increased participation on the site this next month as I seem to be back up to speed... For now, here is how things went down April:

MEMBERSHIP
Membership increased incrementally by 4.4% to 274 members. I think that slow and steady growth is better than no growth, so I'm ok with it. Especially given the amount of time I have been able to put into the site this month. I have had some great feedback from members, though, about their evangelical endeavors to colleagues and coworkers and that is great. If you're promoting the site as a resource for friends at work, I truly appreciate it. :)

EVENTS
I was really happy with the way things turned out at our April Networking and Free PDU Event. We didn't quite have 50 people show up (my unofficial goal) but it was a packed house nonetheless, and led to increased activity on the site afterward, which was an insight for me. The venue was awesome and I can't thank the guys at EastoSearch and the Solarity Group enough. I'm working on the next event for the June time frame with the theme staying on social media and project management. More to come.

JOBS
I'm still pushing hard on the jobs front, as I know it is of interest to many LouisvillePMers. Although I haven't been able to make things happen as quickly as I would have liked, I'm still very excited about the possibilities for jobs on this site. I'm working on some things that should materialize in the summer/fall 09 time frame so stay with me as we build this out together.

NEXT MONTH
No events scheduled for May, so I will be working behind the scenes to continue to build out our membership base and get people communicating with one another online. I'm seriously encouraged by the activity this site has seen since our last event and want to build on that momentum in any way that I can. I really appreciate everyone's support and look forward to catching up with you online or around town.
